An aquatic plant, all arrowheads have three roundish flower petals in whorls of three. Very similar to Broad-Leafed Arrowhead (S. latifolia ), but has fine down all over the stems and leaves. Grows in wet areas, this one in a ditch along a road near Brevard, NC. Blooms late summer to fall.
