Bouncing Bet or Soapwort

Pink Family

A phlox-like plant with more oval leaves and white or pinkish petals that tend to bend backward. The name 'Bouncing Bet' was a nickname for a washerwoman (the crushed foliage will lather). Native of Europe, classified as "invasive"--blooms in summer.
