Trillium catesbaei
Lily Family

Quite variable. The 3-petaled flowers of this plant can be pink, white or even variegated, and hang down towards the ground, usually but not always, below the leaves and are often narrower than this one. The stamens are long and deep yellow. Flowers appear from April to June. The Catesby's Trillium is named for an English naturalist, Mark Catesby.
