The reclining stems have upright leafy branches with deep blue flowers at the top, protruding from a heart-shaped, enfolding leaf. The flowers appear from June to October and last only one day each. The Asiatic Dayflower commonly grows in open disturbed areas, roadsides and wooded borders.
